Jasmine came over this weekend and the boys had quit a good time as you can see, (the crazinesss in their eyes!) The weather has been cool and we are getting as much outside time in before the humidity hits. Zane had quite a wreck on his bike on Saturday and after the dramatic crying ended, he is left with a scraped up elbow and leg. Maybe we should invest in a helmet and knee pads. Although we never used them as kids. (maybe thats what happened-we fell off of our bikes one too many times!)

This evening Zane and Jaxon started piano practice with Mike as the teacher. Zane already played Mary Had a Little Lamb for us. Such talent! Jaxon has a outbreak of poison ivy on his left leg that has begun to spread to his butt. I think we need to see the doctor before it goes anywhere else in that region. Other than that all is well with us. The weather has been beautiful. Too bad I am stuck inside at work all day.

We started a new church a couple of weeks ago and this Sunday the boys sat with me and were very well behaved. Zane especially enjoyed the singing. In the evenings we always read together. This week it has been a very colorful book of bible stories. Zane will just pick up the book and start reading it with no one in the room. So after reading the book the boys went to brush their teeth and Jaxon wanted to be "1st"to have help with brushing. So they started to fight and Zane says, "Jaxon, I am telling God that you are being a bad boy!" I know that they are getting alot of good going to church but I think it may take awhile to get the concept!

FLU!
For the past 3 days Zane and Jaxon have had the flu. They stayed home yesterday with Daddy from school. Jaxon woke up in the middle of the night last night and crawled into bed with Mike and I last night and was running a fever again. I got up at 2 am and gave him some medicine and a glass of water. He layed back down in bed with us and started talking in his sleep saying "i want some chicken nuggets." Thats when I took him to bed. They sure are so precious. Poor little guys!

Milestones
The boys have hit milestones. Yesterday we took advantage of the beautiful weather. (75 degrees) and played outside. Jaxon learned how to ride his bike without training wheels. He always looked like a drunk driver on his old bike. We are so proud of him! At that time Jaxon says that he has to go potty and asks me if he can go outside to pee. I dont think so. So as we are all playing outside I turn around and he has his shorts down around his ankles going potty in front of the neighborhood. The neighbors down the street are clapping and laughing as he is doing this. What am I gonna have to do to keep clothes on this child? Zane is now meeting benchmarks in math at school. He still does not like homework so he thinks that going to a new school he wont have to do any. Wrong! I tell him. There is a little girl down the street named Tristan. She is so much fun and very sassy. She is 4 years old and everytime the boys hear her voice they scream out the window for her to come over and play. They were all playing outside on saturday and Jaxon picked some flowers for me. I told him that it would be nice if he gave Tristan some flowers too. He ran over and gave her some and Zane had to get in on the action. So he proceeded to give her flowers also. As soon as they were done wooing her, Zane went over to her house and told her uncle that she was his girlfriend. Sunday night Zane whispers in my ear. "Mommy, dont tell my friends at school that I have a girlfriend." The joy of boys!

I hope that everyone got what they wanted on Christmas day! The boys sure did. We had a wonderful Christmas! We had to wait for daddy to get off of his shift before we could open presents. Zane got so carried away that he would find a present with his name on it and he would open it. Whether it was from him or to him. He opened a couple of mine. That's ok though. We made our reservations to head to Indiana and Ohio from January 12th through the 21st. The boys are so excited and so are we. We have not had a vacation in forever. Bosco and Abbie even got gifts from Santa this year. Bosco tried to open his up after I put it under the tree so I had to put it on our dresser until it was time to open them. I think that he was more excited than the boys were! It did rain on Christmas day and today the weather is 60 degrees now after being 85! This morning Bosco had a bone from the ham that we had on Christmas Day and somehow he brought it into the house. Zane saw him chewing on it and the next thing I hear is a "gasp" from him and "mommy come here!" "Bosco ate Abbie!" That was so funny! I said no Abbie is right there that's the bone from the ham. So cute! In one of Jaxons toys that he received on Christmas was a catalog of Dora toys. He came out of his room and said, "Mommy, Santa forgot to bring me this." As he pointed to a Dora house. I said well maybe next year. So this weekend we will be shopping for warm clothes for our trip to the cold. See ya soon.

Last weekend we did manage to get out of the house and enjoy the cooler weather for a bit. We took the kids to GT Bray park and saw Santa and Batman (what a combination)! Apparently Batman was saving Santa from the Joker! The boys sat on Santas lap and told him what they wanted and they playing in a jumping tent, got their faces painted and played at the playground. As the boys were waiting in line to jump in the tent a little boy was waiting in line and Zane asked him what his name was. He said, "My name is Riley." Zane laughed in his face and said, "that's a dogs name!" The little boys said no it's not I'm a boy! The little boys grandma was standing with him so I had to explain to her that their aunt Andreas dog is named Riley and I made the boys apologize. On the ride home they were very tired and they started crying because we were leaving. On friday when I came home from work Zane and a bottomless Jaxon greeted me in the front yard! Of course no other time would all the neighbors be outside! He ran outside and screams "Mommy I'm naked!" Jaxon Brantley get in that house. Someone got their butt popped for that skit! Tonight after the boys took their baths I let Zane dress himself for bed. His Mamaw had sent him some pajamas that are scrubs with the Incredibles on them. He comes out of his room and says, "Mommy, I'm Dr. Suess." I wish that I could keep them innocent forever! Well the Christmas shopping is almost complete and the boys have the next 2 1/2 weeks off. Mike will be home a majority of the time so I'm sure that he will have pulled his hair out before its over! I guess thats what happens when you have a job like that! I would rather be home with the boys then at work!

On monday I took Zane to the doctor since we are having an outbreak of warts on his hands for some reason. We went to a new Pediatrician since our doctor dropped our insurance after 4 years. Anyways this doctor is wonderful! He did a thorough exam on Zane. Have'nt seen an exam done on him like that since he was a baby! Everything turned out to be fine and we are treating the warts at home. Dr. Giangreco said that they will eventually go away. I just wanted to take Zane since he is becoming insecure about them. The nurses asked him how old he was and he replied with "I'm 6 and my mommy is 30." Thanks alot Zane! Not like I am not having a hard enough time with it anyways. Jaxon is in the transition period of trying new foods. He is so thin I will feed him about anything. His new thing now is he wants to be strong. Like daddy. So he asks us, "Does halloween candy, peanut butter, ......make you strong?" No not candy Jaxon! Other than that we havent even started our Christmas shopping. This weekend we are taking them to the park to see Santa! That will be fun!

Wild!
Wild! Wild! Wild! Is all I need to say to explain the kick that the boys are on! We all ventured out into the heat today to do a little Christmas shopping. Nice and humid out! Anyways we spent half the day at Wal-mart and Sams and Zane and Jaxon kept climbing in and out of the cart. Why is Zane in there anyways? He weighs 55lbs! They get out of the cart and scatter around the store like roaches, never looking up to see where they are going. So I finally had it and said, Ïf you don't behave, when we get home I'm calling Santa." I know that's not very nice but at that time I just wanted some peace for at least 10 minutes. So they settled down and Zane says "Mommy, am I being gooder at the store?" Yes, Zane you are being good! This evening is the repeat of things at least 3 times until I get some response. It must be a full moon or something in the water! Other than that we are all trying to catch a cold. Luckily we have all been healthy this year. Earlier this week we were all in the garage getting out the Christmas decorations and Bosco went out in the road and I said "Bosco you are making me mad, get back here!" Jaxon filled in the blank with "Bosco you are pissing me off!"that's great! Must get that from Mike! Of course he got in trouble though but we couldn't help but smirk a little when you hear a little voice say something like that. We try butdon't always suceed. Zanes teacher let me know at the last parent teacher meeting that he was one of the top 3 in spelling and reading in his class but behind in math. Must get that from me. I really hate math too! But needless to say we are working on it and we are trying to incorporate it in his everyday life. Like what time is it? And how many pennies are in a quarter etc..He seems to be getting it. Which is great since the kids in Florida have to pass a test at the end of the year called the FCAT. Something good old Jeb Bush thought was great to have. The teachers prepare the students all year for this test while George Bush made up "No child left behind." Do those two talk to each other on the phone about things? Idiots! Well hopefully the school system gets better or someone will have to get a second job or relocate if we have to send the boys to these schools much longer. (Mike!) We hope everyone up north is getting through the big snow that you just received. At least its there for the holiday. Unlike us down here with our air conditioner on. I guess you get what you ask for huh! Take care!
